Joining As A New Member?
1. The membership fee is for a household membership. The name on the form is the primary user, and all other household members are range users. If you are single, you are the primary user. Range users must be legally capable of handling firearms under state law.
a. You will receive ONE gate key per membership. The primary user is responsible for all actions of the range users and guests on the range.
b. All users must pay their dues and attend range orientation before the card is issues AND activated.
c. The primary user must be a member of the National Rifle Association. You may be either a full member or an associate member (no magazines). If you are already a member, please include your NRA number. If not, you can join through the club.
2. Read and sign the “Hold Harmless Agreement”. This is either a signed form, or a checked box in the on-line version.
3. If you are submitting on paper, either mail it by the Post office, or bring it to your range orientation. Check or money order is preferred. Do not send cash by mail. Change is not available at orientation.
Post Office: EER&G Club, PO Box 251, Milton-Freewater, OR 97862
4. Register for a range orientation by selecting a date on the club calendar. We do accept walk ins. Orientations are on the 1st & 4th Saturday, starting at 2 pm; they are also held on the 2nd Wednesday, at either 2 pm or 4 pm, depending on the time of year (check the calendar). Please be early to sign in; late arrivals may not be included for that session, at the discretion of the Range Safety Officer in charge.
5. Come to the orientation with eye and ear protection. Come at least 15 minutes early to sign the roster, and pay your fees; if you are too late, you will have to attend another session. Sessions generally last about an hour, and includes a brief tour of the range, weather permitting. While the primary and range users must attend orientation, they do not need to attend together.
6. You will receive the gate key at orientation, but it won't be activated until payment is confirmed and the gate access system is updated; this can take up to 2 weeks. You will be notified by e-mail when the card is activated.
